Northern Wisconsin Grouse and Woodcock Hunts

Every October, Mike looks forward to guiding Wisconsin grouse and woodcock hunts.  Northern Wisconsin offers incredible bird hunting experiences, when the wooded hunting grounds become full of the autumn beauty. The state’s vast woodlands, rolling hills, and pristine forests create the ideal habitat for elusive and challenging grouse and woodcock.

You are welcome to bring your own hunting dog(s) along for the adventure.  Otherwise, we will provide our string of professional English pointers to hunt with.  If you have not yet had the pleasure of heading to the woods with a team of dogs that trains year-round on wild birds, it is sure to be an unforgettable experience!

We have hosted hunts with parent/child combinations, husbands and wives, and friends coming together for a few days.  On occasion, people have a short drive to join us in Douglas County, Wisconsin.  Other times, clients have flown quite a distance to experience why Wisconsin is known to be the ruffed grouse capital of the world.  Trips can be customized for one person and for small groups.  Mike can also make arrangements to accommodate larger hunting parties.

Mike has been honored to have so many repeat clients, who return year after year.  With a limited fall timeframe to enjoy the excitement, camaraderie, and natural beauty of a wild bird hunt in Northern Wisconsin, we encourage you to book your trip early!  We will fill up!

Guided Hunt Details

• Rate: $800 for up to 2 people per day or $1,200 for 3 people per day (larger groups, call for a quote)

• Each day includes 6 hours of hunting time

• We provide lunch in the field, weather permitting

• Lodging is on your own.  We can provide recommendations for small and large groups.

• Plan to bring with: Hunting license, orange clothing, wet weather gear, good walking boots, gun/shells
